Successful International Gathering Highlights Digital Sales Skills in Porto Sant’Elpidio

On July 1st, 2025, Villa Baruchello in Porto Sant’Elpidio, Italy, played host to a highly successful international expert meeting that brought together key voices from across Europe to discuss the future of digital sales. The event marked the final conference of the Erasmus+ project LUCA – Leveling Up Commercial Agents, and stood out as a significant milestone in the project’s mission to enhance the digital competencies of commercial agents.
Under the theme “Digital Skills for Global Commercial Growth: Contribution of European Projects,” the gathering drew nearly 100 participants, including sales professionals, corporate representatives, policymakers, and association leaders from Italy and across Europe. Organizations such as Regione Marche, the Municipality of Porto Sant’Elpidio, ENASARCO, USARCI, and IUCAB were all represented, reflecting the event’s broad relevance and strong support.
Key highlights included:
  • Insightful keynotes from Prof. Deva Rangarajan of IESEG Business School (France) and Austrian sales tech expert Philipp Schachinger, who addressed the evolving demands of digital sales.
  • A presentation of the LUCA project’s results by Prof. Christian Stadlmann of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, showcasing concrete outcomes and tools developed to support digital upskilling.
  • A panel discussion featuring experts from Alperia, Vianova, USARCI Marche, and IUCAB, who debated the changing role of sales agents and the importance of lifelong learning in a digital economy.

The day concluded with an open Q&A session followed by a networking dinner, fostering meaningful exchange among participants in an informal setting. Thanks to simultaneous Italian-English translation, the event maintained accessibility and inclusivity for its diverse international audience.
With a strong turnout and dynamic contributions from multiple sectors, the event successfully highlighted the increasing importance of digital skills in commercial roles and reinforced the value of cross-border educational initiatives like LUCA.
